Valeriu Lazăr

Valeriu Lazăr, b. 1968, Bucharest, România

Is a talented sculptor and engineer, deeply passionate about the visual arts. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree at the National University of Arts in Bucharest, specializing in Decorative Arts and Design with a focus on Ceramics, Glass, and Metal, under the guidance of Associate Professor Dr. Adrian Petrică.

Valeriu completed his undergraduate studies in 1993 at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, where he studied Mechanical Engineering and Transportation Systems.

Throughout his artistic career, Valeriu has participated in numerous solo exhibitions, including: 1. *”Dublaj” Exhibition* (October 17-31, 2023) at the Calea Victoriei Gallery 91-93. 2. *”Iconic” Exhibition* (August 10 – September 3, 2023) at the Brâncoveanu Palaces Cultural Center. 3. *”Reflections” Sculpture Exhibition* (January 10-20, 2023) at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Honor Hall. 4. *”Reflections” Sculpture Exhibition* (October 20 – November 2, 2022) at the Cultural Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 5. *”Idyllic Identities” Exhibition* (October 13-23, 2022) at the Romanian Peasant Museum. 6. *Multimedia Exhibition “The Cross: The Moral Torment of Redemption”* (February 2-24, 2021) at the ArtGallery Tomis Mall in Constanța.

In addition to his solo exhibitions, Valeriu has actively participated in group exhibitions and creative camps throughout the country, further establishing his presence in the artistic community.

Valeriu Lazăr believes that the objects he creates are a physical and tangible projection of ideas and mental constructs that represent him. Through his work, he aims to penetrate the subconscious of art lovers and casual viewers alike, inducing states of contemplation and inviting them to explore the deeper meanings behind his art.
